Christoph Ernst Luthardt (1823-1902) was one of the premier orthodox Lutheran thinkers in nineteenth century Europe. His writing broadly impacted the church, being often-cited by both Lutheran and Reformed theologians. He produced works of exegesis, dogmatic theology, and apologetics.
